Yes — Season 3.5 Express sign-ups are open now. It's a short four-date season (Nov 14, Nov 21, Dec 5, and playoffs on Dec 12) built to get you playing and done before the holidays. Only the first 5 teams to register get in, teams need at least 4 players, and it's $35 per player. The 3v3 Halloween tournament (October 31) is full — come cheer everyone on! You can also join the list for Season 4 updates using the sign-up form on the homepage.

KIS Volleyball is an intermediate-level recreational league. You should be comfortable with the basics — serving, passing, setting, and hitting — but this isn't a competitive club league. It's meant to be fun, social, and a good workout.

The league is our coed 4v4 season — Season 3.5 is a short express version with three game days and playoffs. The 3v3 tournament is a separate, one-day co-ed event on Halloween (Saturday, October 31, starting at 9 AM) with teams of 3. It's full, but spectators are welcome.

Nope — costumes are encouraged, not required. Since the tournament lands on Halloween, we'd love to see your best beach volleyball costume, but come as you are if that's more your speed.

Season 3.5 Express is $35 per player, with at least 4 players per team. Payment is due by November 9. (The 3v3 Halloween tournament was $15 per player and is now full.)

Season 3.5 game days are Saturday, Nov 14, Nov 21, and Dec 5, with playoffs on Saturday, Dec 12 — all at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach. Registered players get their match times and court assignments by email.

Sunscreen, water, and comfortable clothes you don't mind getting sandy. If you've got a favorite ball, feel free to bring it along and throw it in the mix.

Player fees are non-refundable — we book each season close to the one before it, so refunds aren't something we're able to offer. If you can no longer play, you're welcome to transfer your spot to someone else before the season starts.

We'll keep playing through light rain, wind, and the usual beach conditions. If the weather gets too severe to play safely, we'll reschedule that game to the next available clear day and let registered players know by email.

Once your team registers, we'll send you an email with everything you need to finish signing up, along with links to pay by PayPal or Venmo. Payment of $35 per player is due by November 9. If you joined the list for Season 4 instead, there's nothing to pay — we'll just email you when registration opens.
